For those closely tracking our journey, you've likely noticed our early commitment to unveil a chronograph watch under the project name "DEUCE." Our deep passion for motorsports consistently fuels us toward the exciting venture of crafting a chronograph timepiece pulsating with the soul of auto racing.
Encapsulating the thrill and fervor of the racetrack within a timepiece is a unique privilege. However, we acknowledge our position outside the league of major players in the watch industry. Sponsoring racing events or sharing the limelight with names like Rolex, IWC, or TAG Heuer remains a distant dream for microbrands like ours.
Nevertheless, the absence of sponsorship doesn't deter us from engineering exceptional chronograph watches. We've meticulously designed various elements, infusing colors and features, like Rosso Corsa, that embody the racing spirit. Tailored for everyday wear with optimal size, thickness, and water resistance, this watch is a testament to our unwavering passion.

Hands
Chronograph watches boast intricate dials, making them uniquely captivating. However, the hour and minute hands often obstruct subdials. We've addressed this challenge by creating a “windshield” in the central part of the hour and minute hands, offering a clear view of the subdials. The differentiated finish on the upper and side facets of the hands adds depth, enhancing both aesthetics and legibility.
Reading subdials can be challenging due to their small size. Therefore, incorporating diamond-cut three-dimensional hands helps mitigate this issue by leveraging light contrast.
Dial
The tricompax dial never fails to captivate with its alluring design, reminiscent of a classic dashboard, further reinforcing its identity as a racing watch. The guilloche subdials add intricate texture details.
The Pitzmann 3 showcases bold indices, emphasizing the importance of a substantial height difference between the indices and the dial. This not only enhances readability but also creates multiple focal points on the dial. The luminescence slicing through the indices resembles a racing car deploying its rear wing, ensuring optimal downforce. Pitzmann offers the option of two colors: a cold enamel white dial and an ice blue sunray dial. We recognize that each dial complements distinct finishing techniques, offering more than just a color variation.
In complement to the hands and indices, the silver ring encircling the rim and subdials, along with the distinct date window frame, enhances not only legibility but also interacts dynamically with light. This interaction infuses the watch with a dynamic presence that comes alive in varying degrees and angles of light.
Date Window
Originally, the engine of the Pitzmann 3, Caliber 8R48, featured a date window at 4:30. However, we couldn't compromise the perfect symmetry of the design; therefore, customized it to be positioned at 6 o'clock instead.
We have carefully arranged multi-layered dials for the Pitzmann 3, ensuring the distinct prominence of each element. At 6 o'clock, we installed an independent stainless steel frame, creating a distinctive and unique date window. Moreover, we've tailored the numerals to harmonize with the dial colors, employing a date wheel color that complements the dial.
Bezel
The ceramic bezel injects brilliance and sophistication into the watch. While many users may not daily utilize the tachymeter, a readily readable tachymeter remains a pivotal feature for a racing watch.
Profile
Fashioned with an anti-reflective coating sapphire crystal glass and encased in durable 316L stainless steel, the Pitzmann 3 presents a sleek profile, featuring a thickness of 13.25mm. The intricate design on the caseback artfully depicts a race track, imparting a figurative touch to the watch's overall aesthetic. This seamless blend of elegance and robustness ensures a water resistance of up to 50m, highlighting the watch's versatility.

Engine
Our team dedicated many hours to finding the ideal movement with subdial pivots positioned just right—not too far apart, yet not too close—to maintain the perfect overall ratio. Much like the finely-tuned engine of a racing car, the Seiko caliber 8R48 takes center stage in the watch, embodying the pinnacle of precision and innovation in watchmaking. With a keen eye for detail, we've seamlessly integrated this exceptional movement into our timepiece. The column wheel and vertical clutch system of the 8R48 ensure a flawlessly smooth and precise chronograph function, offering a sophisticated and reliable timekeeping experience. Boasting an impressive power reserve, this movement is the heartbeat of the Pitzmann 3. The robust yet elegant bracelet design integrates a blend of polished and brushed finishes. Despite its seemingly commonplace appearance, the gleaming details during wrist movement ensure a consistently captivating experience.
